Gary Gray, 53 year old African American and Native American Indian who grew up in South Central Jersey with a sports family. At the age of two contracted Cerebral Palsy...went to high school after many years at disabled center in Burlington City. He played many disabled sports.
Favorite free safety with the number 32 of Oakland's Jack Tatum, played first base 7 years favorite Willie Mac(Giants) and Richie Allen(Phillies), basketball favorite Willis Reed (Knicks) never played disabled basketball.
He was a High School basketball manager, first disabled manager in Burlington County. He attended Southern Ill. University At Carbondale (home of the Fighting Salukies) where he majored in History and Poli-Sci and minored in African American Studies. He later moved to Berkeley, California where he worked for the mother and leader of the disabled rights movement the Center for Independent Living for 5 years.
He is an advid bowling fan and player for 20 years. He currently has 7 first place league victories, 4 second place, 2 third place in the Berkeley - Albany Leagues and a 2 place in the San Jose United Cerebral Palsy Games 1986. His favorite players are George Brannam the 3rd and Kim Terrell from San Jose.
He worked for the Oakland A's baseball team for 10 years. Worked as a writer for Gibbs Magazine in 2000 and BASN in 2004-2005. He still loves the METS, KNICKS, GIANTS, RANGERS, Jersey NETS, DEVILS, west coast Oakland A's and Oakland Raiders.
